Thank you for coming by...

There are a lot of Seconlife fashion blogs out there to chose from which is why I haven't decided to do another one... Well, not exactly anyway. I would really like to share the wonderful world of alternative fashion with you.. I highlight everything from Retro to Gothic, from Latex to Cyber. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of great haute couture out there in our virtual world but to me the fun lies in the cracks and crevasses that is alt fashion. I hope you will join me for lots of fun and some wonderful looks. your comments are always welcome as are any requests. Lets explore the edgier side of fashion together!

Is Glamour Dead?

Vintage, what does that word conjure up for you?  For me it's a bygone time of elegance and taste, when thought went into every little detail of everything people did. In SL that time still lives on and thanks to Voluptia - House Of Glamour we can still find that elegance and grace.  Lady V has begun making some of the most wonderful bustiers I have seen in SL mesh and in all sorts of sizes so that there is likely something to suit you. Pay her a visit at  Voluptia
In This outfit:
Drama Corset by Voluptia
Earrings and Necklace by JCNY
Shoes by N-Core

Skin is as always by LAQ (my favorite brand)
Make up by Mock cosmetics
Hair by Vanity Hair
and Lashes by ::BB::

Please visit Lady V over at Voluptia, you won't be sorry, and tell her Gina sent you.

Thank you to Sydney Bonde for these wonderful shots!

Back to the Future

I really like Science Fiction fashion, it can take us almost anywhere.  We can look at Star Trek to Star Wars and from Bladerunner to Zardoz and no two movies portray fashion in the same way.  You can get away with almost anything you like.  In BladeRunner the outfits were very reminiscent of the 1940s  and yet in Star Trek we see very utilitarian garb from the crew and almost anything from everyone else they meet.  In In Science Fiction Movies the costume designers have the lea way to create almost anything dependent on the vision of the creative team.  I would challenge anyone interested in Science fiction or Sci Fi fashion to challenge yourself and see what you can come up with, you might amaze yourself.

This outfit:
Aleida Bo suit in Plum
DV8 Eliminator boots in Onyx
Neurolab's Ultimate Necklace in purple
Weapons belt is a Plasma Belt Lava Spark
(found in Marketplace)
& a pair of nasty looking VX-7 Scorpion Pistols
My hair is a DV8 Cyberknot
Lashes are BB Mesh lashes
and of course, as always my Make up is teh incomparable Mockie!

I also want to thank my good friend Sydney Bonde for the pictures.

Now go out and create something cool of your own!

Farewell old friend

I know I haven't been here in quite awhile but school needed my attention until just recently.  I'm sorry to all you kats and kittens but mamma is trying to learn new tricks.

I just found out the other day that DV8 is going out of business.  It a little sad but understandable, they have been in SL for a long time but by the same token they have been one of the leading forces in alternative fashion for that whole period.  They will be missed a lot and I am sad to see them go but I understand that people have to move on sometimes.  You will be missed.  For now though her whole inventory is $50L so go give a big send off and shop till you drop, I did.

Photos by Sydney Bonde.  Go see her you'll be glad you did.

In this outfit is:

Dress:  DV8 Danse Macabre in Chablis
(this includes the cuffs, collar and leggings

My Make up is Mock cosmetics all the way

I have lots of little piercings too that I would be happy to tell you about if you like but you can't really see them here.

Gina wearing Gina

I know it's almost April and I should have got this done sooner and I apologize for all that but sometimes things get away from you.  In January I entered the Ivalde "Woman in Black contest and in February, to my amazement ,  I was pronounced the Winner!  Well some time went by and Neferia sent me the dress she had named after me which I had completely forgotten about.  Well I'm here to tell you that it is absolutely beautiful!  It comes in six wonderful colors so you are sure to find just the perfect shade for you (I'm modeling the red one here).  Thank you so much Nef for the wonderful dress and I am very proud to wear it whenever I get the chance.

Bubblegum in the Park

I was recently wandering through Tres Beau's when I came across this beautiful dress that I just couldn't live without. I have always had a weakness for the 1950's look and a pretty party dress just does me in so when I saw this I just had to put it in my wardrobe. Of course I had to retro it a bit with a nice Tattoo from ES and my Free Monroe piercing from A:S:S as well as my ever present VvB skyscraper heels bt if you love fun clothes as much as I do you definitely need to check it out!

And for all you Stylish kittens out there that just can't wait to get your paws on this stuff, here is the style card:

Shape: sorry honey's that's my own making.

The Monroe piercing (in my upper lip) is by A:S:S deLuxe. (it was a free gift at the Sin festival)
Tattoo by *ES* and it's called Flore
Glasses: Artilleri Meredith
